Matt Fleeger

Today Matthew H Fleeger is the President and CEO of Gulf Coast Western, the founder of several successful organizations, and listed among the International Who's Who of Business Professionals. In the 1980s, though, Matt Fleeger was like many of students at Southern Methodist University taking courses towards their BA in business.
Matt Fleeger in the Oil and Gas Industry
Matt Fleeger has had a long history with the domestic U.S. oil and gas industry. After graduating with his BA in business from Southern Methodist University, Matthew H Fleeger took several executive positions within Texas-based energy companies. One of those companies, Gulf Coast Western, was started by his father in 1970. After gaining significant experience in the oil and gas industry, founding three successful companies, and learning about mergers, acquisitions, and corporate structuring through real-world experience, Matt Fleeger returned to Gulf Coast Western in 2007 to serve as the company's President and CEO.
Matt H Fleeger and Gulf Coast Western
Gulf Coast Western is a U.S.-based oil and gas company that focuses on domestic energy reserves. The organization has major investments in acquisitions, developments, and explorations of oil and gas reserves in the Gulf Coast region. Under Matt Fleeger's leadership, the company is sure to continue its growth as the U.S. recognizes the importance of focusing on domestic energy reserves instead of relying so heavily on foreign suppliers.
Matthew H Fleeger and Waste Management
Matthew H Fleeger got real-world experience in acquisitions, corporate structuring, and mergers by founding his own company, MedSolutions, Inc, in 1993. MedSolutions, Inc took medical waste transportation, processing, and disposal contracts from regional healthcare facilities that needed to outsource these services with a reliable, innovative company. Under his leadership, Mr. Fleeger's team used effective acquisition and management strategies to grow MedSolutions, Inc into a regional leader of waste management services. Matt Fleeger served as the company's CEO, President, and Chairman/Directory until he negotiated the sale of MedSolutions, Inc to Stericycle, Inc (nasdaq:srcl), the industry leader, in 2007 for about $59 million.
Matthew Fleeger and the Tanning Industry
Matt Fleeger's experiences in the tanning industry also prepared him for his current position as the President and CEO of an important oil and gas reserves company. Mr. Fleeger was instrumental in the founding of Palm Beach Tan, Inc, which has grown from a small six-store organization into the country's largest indoor tanning booth franchise. He was also heavily involved in the founding of Mystic Tan, which is now the world's leading franchise of spray-on tanning booths services.
Matt Fleeger's Future
While Matt Fleeger currently presides over Gulf Coast Western as the company's President and CEO, his varied interests in waste management, tanning, and oil and gas reserves makes it difficult to determine where he might turn next. Success through well-thought-out business plans has always been a constant in his career, though, so it is expected that he will continue to lead Gulf Coast Western into a future of even greater successes even if he decides to direct his attention at other projects as well.
